Job Overview

We are looking for a Licensed Medical Biller to manage and process healthcare claims accurately. You will work with healthcare providers to ensure billing is compliant with regulations and payments are processed efficiently. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have experience in medical billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Generic Responsibilities
• Generate revenue by making payment arrangements, collecting accounts and monitoring and pursuing delinquent accounts.
• Collect delinquent accounts by establishing payment arrangements with patients, monitoring payments and following up with patients when payment lapses occur.
• Utilize collection agencies and small claims courts to collect accounts by evaluating and selecting collection agencies, determining the appropriateness of pursuing legal remedies and testifying in court cases when necessary.
• Maintain the Medicare bad-debt cost report.
• Secure outstanding balance payments for the care of employees.
   

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

The ideal candidate should have:

• Must be a Certified Professional Biller (CPB)
• Must have experience in claim processing (MOD, POS)
• At least familiar with plan benefit quotation (deductible, copay, coinsurance and allowed amount) and has experience in processing and collecting payments.
• Familiar with claim denials
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Average typing speed of 45-50 WPM.
• Fast learner & highly trainable with good analytical skills, a good problem solver & a positive attitude
• Must be willing to work graveyard shifts, weekends and holidays; be well-organized; be responsible; and have initiative.
• Independent with a positive work ethic and passion to succeed, willing to start immediately.
