Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and highly organized Marketing Assistant to support the execution of marketing strategies, content creation, and promotional campaigns. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to coordinate marketing activities, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and passionate about helping drive brand growth and customer engagement.

 

Responsibilities

A. Marketing Operations

Project manage marketing campaigns; tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Organize photoshoots and ensure product images are retouched.
  • Assign ad asset requests based on campaign briefs.
  • Coordinate with retention channels on the development and execution of marketing assets
  • Communicate with licensors for licensed launch asset approvals.
  • Collect post-campaign recaps from various marketing channels.

Pull weekly marketing data (e.g., launch sales, marketing attribution data by channel, customer survey reports) and conduct basic analysis. Project manage the execution of special projects (e.g., gift with purchase, merch).

Execute product launches (e.g., set up PDPs on Shopify, load inventory, push products/collections live across all sales channels).

Perform ad-hoc marketing execution tasks (e.g., updating certain transactional emails, maintaining asset naming convention on Google Drive). Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences and potential opportunities for the brand.

B. Social Media Operations

Manage UGC creator communications on an ongoing basis; tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing creator portfolios
  • Discussing and negotiating rates with creators
  • Sending contracts
  • Communicating brand guidelines and ensuring brand standards are kept across content
  • Collecting and organizing content deliverables

Manage influencer communications during campaigns; tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Organizing and communicating post requirements
  • Sending contracts
  • Reviewing creator deliverables
  • Organizing licensor approvals of content, when applicable
  • Writing letters for influencers we're gifting products to

Perform ad-hoc social media execution tasks (e.g., posting social posts, pulling basic social media metrics reports).
 

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Proven experience as a marketing assistant or similar role; experience in the DTC e-commerce space preferred. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a remote team. Demonstrated relationship-building skills; experience in influencer/creator communication management preferred. Familiarity with various social media platforms and retention channels.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing analytics (e.g., period-over-period trends, growth rates); ability to draw meaningful insights from data preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment in a remote capacity, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
